Confusion is an excuse not to dwell into a topic or an issue, it is a form of escapism. I was confused and dazed. I am still confused and puzzled but at least now, I am lighted with a torch of probing. I remember a person told me before that to be wise we have to use knowledge and based it on a critical analysis of the current situation. Then, we have to take a step back and see where this is leading, and take time to ponder every possible options. Yes, I have pondered and yes, I have reviewed all the options. At the end it is just simple and basic. Strike first, choose to move first before being attacked. Choose to be in the know then to be ignorant. Choose to be empowered then to be afraid and be pessimistic. Choose to be underestimated then to be a let down. I choose to be me. In the next couple of months, expect surprises from me. I am fed up of being fed with moronic suggestions, opinions and cast into so called deadlock situations. I will shape the situations, and the thoughts surrounding them not otherwise. Starting a new adventure with two friends will be the momentous kick off. For friends who are reading this to keep themselves abreast, I thank you for your concerns. Thanks. I am currently reading this book entitled "Flags of Our Fathers" by James Bradley with Ron Powers. It is an enticing book that I will like to recommed to my friends. It is book that redefine how we view power and war. How military strategy is shaped by public opnions. It show how much one person can make a difference and how person view can be formulated based upon their perception of things and their surroundings. The book assist us in understanding that there is a price to pay for each choice we make and each rhetorics made by our politicians. It shows how politics influence every part of our life whether we like it or not, and how we can influence them. Have a read or if you are not a bookworm type, wait for the movie.. it is coming our way soon.
I agree with the above photo, we are certainly changing each other lifes, in more ways than one. Thanks. I prefer "Changing Lifes" though. Talking about changing lives, I will like to salute Prof Muhammad Yunus on his recognition as a Nobel Peace Prize winner. Prof has changed the view point of economic theory by taking them by the horns, implementing what he believe in through Grameen Bank http://www.grameen-info.org/. It is through this Bank that micro-credit became the buzz word in the merciless banking industry that only provide credit to people with worthy credit record and deprieve millions to poverty. In the words of Prof Yunus and I quote "Grameencredit is based on the premise that the poor have skills which remain unutilised or under-utilised. It is definitely not the lack of skills which make poor people poor. Grameen believes that the poverty is not created by the poor, it is created by the institutions and policies which surround them. In order to eliminate poverty all we need to do is to make appropriate changes in the institutions and policies, and/or create new ones. Grameen believes that charity is not an answer to poverty. It only helps poverty to continue. It creates dependency and takes away individual's initiative to break through the wall of poverty. Unleashing of energy and creativity in each human being is the answer to poverty." While we are changing lifes around us, we should also strive to change life of everyone. |
